Verse 1

अतुलितबलधामं हेमशैलाभदेहं दनुजवनकृशानुं ज्ञानिनामग्रगण्यम्। सकलगुणनिधानं वानराणामधीशं रघुपतिप्रियभक्तं वातजातं नमामि॥

Transliteration:

Atulitabaladhāmaṃ hemaśailābhadehaṃ danujavanakṛśānuṃ jñānināmagragaṇyam | Sakalaguṇanidhānaṃ vānarāṇāmadhīśaṃ raghupatipriyabhaktaṃ vātajātaṃ namāmi ||

Translation:

I bow to the son of the Wind God — the abode of matchless strength, whose body shines like a golden mountain, who is a forest-fire to the clans of demons, foremost among the wise, the treasure-house of every virtue, lord of the monkeys, and the beloved devotee of Raghupati (Ram).

Meaning:

This invocatory verse praises Hanuman's radiant strength, wisdom, and virtue, and honors him above all as Lord Ram's most devoted servant.

Verse 2

मनोजवं मारुततुल्यवेगं जितेन्द्रियं बुद्धिमतां वरिष्ठम्। वातात्मजं वानरयूथमुख्यं श्रीरामदूतं शरणं प्रपद्ये॥

Transliteration:

Manojavaṃ mārutatulyavegaṃ jitendriyaṃ buddhimatāṃ variṣṭham | Vātātmajaṃ vānarayūthamukhyaṃ śrīrāmadūtaṃ śaraṇaṃ prapadye ||

Translation:

I take refuge in him whose speed is as swift as thought and equal to the wind, who has mastered his senses, who is foremost among the wise, the son of the Wind God, chief among the monkey clans, and the messenger of Sri Ram.

Meaning:

This widely-recited verse takes refuge in Hanuman by praising his swiftness, self-mastery, and supreme wisdom, honoring his role as Ram's trusted messenger.

Verse 3

बुद्धिर्बलं यशोधैर्यं निर्भयत्वमरोगता। अजाड्यं वाक्पटुत्वं च हनुमत्स्मरणाद्भवेत्॥

Transliteration:

Buddhirbalaṃ yaśodhairyaṃ nirbhayatvamarogatā | Ajāḍyaṃ vākpaṭutvaṃ ca hanumatsmaraṇādbhavet ||

Translation:

Intellect, strength, fame, courage, fearlessness, freedom from illness, alertness of mind, and eloquence of speech — all arise from remembering Hanuman.

Meaning:

This verse promises that simply remembering and meditating upon Hanuman brings a complete set of blessings: sharp intellect, physical strength, courage, health, and skillful speech.
