श्लोक
Verse 1
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु शक्तिरूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
Transliteration:
Yā devī sarvabhūteṣu śaktirūpeṇa saṃsthitā | Namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ ||
Translation:
To that Goddess who resides in all beings in the form of power (shakti) — salutations, salutations, salutations to her, again and again.
Meaning:
This verse honors the Goddess as the very power and energy present within every living being, the force that sustains all existence.
Verse 2
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु बुद्धिरूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
Transliteration:
Yā devī sarvabhūteṣu buddhirūpeṇa saṃsthitā | Namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ ||
Translation:
To that Goddess who resides in all beings in the form of intellect (buddhi) — salutations, salutations, salutations to her, again and again.

Here the Goddess is honored as intelligence and discernment itself, the clarity of mind that guides right thought and action.
Verse 3
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु निद्रारूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
Transliteration:
Yā devī sarvabhūteṣu nidrārūpeṇa saṃsthitā | Namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ ||
Translation:
To that Goddess who resides in all beings in the form of sleep (nidra) — salutations, salutations, salutations to her, again and again.
Meaning:
This verse recognizes the Goddess even in rest and sleep, the restorative stillness every living being depends upon.
Verse 4
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु क्षुधारूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥

Yā devī sarvabhūteṣu kṣudhārūpeṇa saṃsthitā | Namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ ||
Translation:
To that Goddess who resides in all beings in the form of hunger (kshudha) — salutations, salutations, salutations to her, again and again.

The Goddess is honored here as hunger, the natural life-force and drive that sustains the body and urges every being toward nourishment.

या देवी सर्वभूतेषु क्षान्तिरूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥
Transliteration:
Yā devī sarvabhūteṣu kṣāntirūpeṇa saṃsthitā | Namastasyai namastasyai namastasyai namo namaḥ ||
Translation:
To that Goddess who resides in all beings in the form of forgiveness (kshanti) — salutations, salutations, salutations to her, again and again.
Meaning:
This verse honors the Goddess as patience and forgiveness, the quality that allows beings to endure hardship and let go of resentment.
Verse 6
या देवी सर्वभूतेषु शान्तिरूपेण संस्थिता। नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमस्तस्यै नमो नमः॥

Translation:
